The below is an example of a learning contract prepared for a student in an elementary Spanish course. This contract is a mock contract for learning purposes. However, it was designed to be used productively as part of a real course. The basis of the document is a negotiated agreement between a learner and an instructor that an activity will be undertaken in order to achieve a certain goal. The theoretical foundation I used to produce this work was based on the works of Geoff Anderson, David Boud, and Jane Sampson in their practical guide "Learning Contracts.
