This document explores three traditional learning theories of education.  It aims to provide the reader with an explanation of what the Behaviorist, Cultural and Sociocultural theories encompass, and their contributions to the field of education, particularly Second Language Learning.  It also explains how these theories can be applied and provide examples of applications.
